    By completing the program, learners will be able to:

    Assist veterinarians with routine animal care and basic clinical procedures
    Safely restrain animals during examinations and treatments
    Administer medications and vaccinations under supervision
    Provide first aid and support care for sick or injured animals
    Perform feeding, bathing, exercising, and general animal care tasks
    Maintain clean, safe, and sanitized examination and treatment areas
    Understand veterinary terminology, office procedures, and animal health basics
    Demonstrate readiness for entry‑level veterinary assistant roles
    Upon successful completion, students will be prepared to sit for the National Career Certification Board (NCCB) and/or Certified Animal Care Worker (CACW) national certification exams.
    This class is an independent-study course. Students will have all the resources needed to successfully complete the course within the online material. A student helpdesk is available for technical support during the course enrollment.
