This course supports new early childhood educators as they navigate the complexities of lesson planning, behavior guidance, and individual learner needs. Offered by our accredited school partners, the program introduces reflective teaching practices, developmentally appropriate strategies, classroom design principles, and family engagement techniques. Learners gain practical tools to reflect on instruction, monitor child progress, and build positive learning communities during their early teaching careers.
Module 1: Reflective Teaching Foundations
Goal setting, lesson plan reflection, professional growth, communication with children, families, and colleagues, and self‑assessment of strengths and areas for improvement.
Module 2: Child Development and Developmentally Appropriate Practice
Stages of early childhood development, social‑emotional growth, cooperative play, behavior guidance, and strategies for individualizing learning.
Module 3: Creating an Effective Classroom Environment
Designing learning spaces, scheduling and transitions, curriculum units, community building, and conflict resolution through language development.
Module 4: Family Engagement and Involvement
Building trust with families, managing separation anxiety, communicating challenging information, effective communication strategies, and family engagement activities.
