Learners examine how purchasing has evolved into strategic supply management, explore logistics systems and inventory control, and gain insight into supplier evaluation and global supply chain coordination. The program also addresses financial planning and budgeting practices that support effective supply chain decision‑making in an increasingly complex and technology‑driven environment.
Module 1: Logistics and Distribution Management
Introduces logistics information systems, inventory control, warehousing and distribution operations, performance measurement, and financial and technological influences across inbound, outbound, reverse, and third‑party logistics.
Module 2: Procurement and Supply Management
Examines the shift from transactional purchasing to strategic supply management, focusing on supplier sourcing, relationship management, ethical and sustainable practices, risk management, and the impact of e‑procurement and emerging technologies.
Module 3: Supply Chain Management Basics
Explores core supply chain concepts including supplier evaluation, logistics integration, inventory management, communication across supply networks, risk mitigation, and global supply chain trends.
Module 4: Understanding and Managing Budgets
Covers budgeting principles supporting supply chain operations, including master budgets, operating budgets, sales and production budgets, cost of goods sold, cash budgets, and techniques for managing budgets to support strategic and operational performance.
