The Clinical Medical Assistant program prepares learners to become skilled, confident, and valuable members of the healthcare team, supporting physicians, nurses, other healthcare professionals, and patients in a variety of fast-paced clinical environments. The program combines foundational healthcare knowledge with practical, career-focused training designed to develop the clinical and administrative competencies needed in today’s medical offices, clinics, outpatient facilities, and other healthcare settings.
Learners gain knowledge in patient care, clinical procedures, medical terminology, infection control, vital signs, documentation, medical administration, electronic health records, patient communication, and healthcare regulatory compliance. Emphasis is placed on professionalism, patient safety, accuracy, confidentiality, and effective communication throughout the continuum of care. Learners also explore the day-to-day responsibilities of the clinical medical assistant and develop skills for working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Upon completion of the program, the learner will be able to:
Define daily clinical and administrative procedures performed by medical assistants.
Accurately obtain and document vital signs and patient health information.
Perform phlebotomy and basic microbiology procedures following established guidelines.
Identify and apply OSHA, HIPAA, sterilization, and infection‑control standards in healthcare environments.
Upon successful completion of this program, learners will be eligible to sit for the NHA national certification exam to become a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA).
