    Learners gain knowledge in patient care, clinical procedures, medical terminology, infection control, vital signs, documentation, medical administration, electronic health records, patient communication, and healthcare regulatory compliance. Emphasis is placed on professionalism, patient safety, accuracy, confidentiality, and effective communication throughout the continuum of care.     Upon completion of the program, the learner will be able to:

    Define daily clinical and administrative procedures performed by medical assistants.

    Accurately obtain and document vital signs and patient health information.

    Perform phlebotomy and basic microbiology procedures following established guidelines.

    Identify and apply OSHA, HIPAA, sterilization, and infection‑control standards in healthcare environments.
    Upon successful completion of this program, learners will be eligible to sit for the NHA national certification exam to become a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA).
