The Medical Coding: CPT® Integumentary, Musculoskeletal, and Respiratory Systems course provides learners with targeted training on CPT® coding for the first three major body systems. Learners explore anatomy, procedures, and coding conventions for these systems while developing the ability to accurately locate and apply CPT® codes. This course strengthens essential system‑specific coding skills required for accurate reporting and reimbursement.
Module 1: Integumentary System Coding
Focuses on CPT® coding for skin and subcutaneous tissues, including diagnostic and procedural services involving the integumentary system.
Module 2: Musculoskeletal System Coding
Covers CPT® coding for bones, joints, muscles, tendons, ligaments, and related procedures within the musculoskeletal system.
Module 3: Respiratory System Coding
Introduces CPT® coding for procedures involving the respiratory tract, including diagnostic, therapeutic, and surgical services.
By the end of this course, the learner will be able to:
