Module 1: Foundations of Business Statistics
Introduces the role of statistics in business decision‑making. Learners explore the purpose of statistics, differentiating between descriptive and inferential statistics, and understanding how data supports effective management across business functions.
Module 2: Data Types & Measurement Scales
Focuses on identifying and applying the four levels of measurement—nominal, ordinal, interval, and ratio—and selecting appropriate methods for organizing and presenting data using tables and summaries.
Module 3: Organizing & Visualizing Data
Covers techniques for creating frequency distributions and selecting meaningful visual displays, including bar graphs, pie charts, line graphs, histograms, and frequency polygons to clearly communicate insights.
Module 4: Measures of Central Tendency & Variation
Explores methods for summarizing data numerically, including calculating and interpreting the mean, median, mode, variance, and standard deviation to describe patterns and variability in datasets.
Module 5: Probability & Sampling Concepts
Introduces probability theory and its practical business applications. Learners examine sampling methods with and without replacement and interpret data using probability principles and distribution curves.
