    Module 1: Photovoltaic & Solar Energy

    Fundamentals of photovoltaic electricity production and conversion
    Crystalline silicon and thin‑film solar cell technologies
    Grid‑connected photovoltaic systems and market applications
    System architectures, energy supply constraints, and performance challenges
    Solar thermal systems, heating technologies, and concentrating solar power


    Module 2: Wind System Technology

    Overview of modern wind power and industry applications
    Wind turbine components, operation, and energy conversion
    Fixed and variable speed wind systems
    Grid connection requirements, voltage control, stability, and protection
    Auxiliary systems, connection challenges, and technology comparisons


    Module 3: Marine Energy, Hydropower & Geothermal

    Upon successful completion of the program, the learner will be able to:

    Upon successful completion of our Renewable Energy Specialist course, learners will be prepared to sit for the NCCB national certification exam to become a Certified Renewable Energy Specialist (CRES).
