The Certified Incident Handler (ECIH) program prepares learners to effectively detect, analyze, respond to, and recover from modern cybersecurity incidents. Offered through accredited school partners, the program covers the full incident‑handling lifecycle, including threat detection, incident classification, response coordination, recovery, and post‑incident analysis. Learners gain both technical and managerial perspectives, learning how to align incident response activities with legal, policy, and organizational requirements while communicating risk and impact in business terms.

Upon completion of this program, the learner will be able to:
Identify and classify various types of cybersecurity incidents, including network attacks, malware infections, and insider threats.
Apply incident response methodologies to contain, eradicate, and recover from security events.
Conduct risk assessments and apply relevant laws, policies, and compliance requirements during incident handling.
Support and operate within incident response teams and escalation frameworks.
Apply computer forensics principles to support investigations and evidence handling.
Develop and implement incident handling and response policies.
Execute incident recovery and post‑incident review processes to improve security posture.
Upon completion, learners will be eligible to sit for the ECIH exam.
