    Module 1: Professional and Career Responsibilities
    Introduces the healthcare system, the role of the medical administrative assistant, professionalism, career pathways, certification, and healthcare delivery models.
    Module 2: Ethics, Law, and Communication
    Covers medical ethics, legal responsibilities, HIPAA compliance, confidentiality, liability, and effective professional communication.
    Module 3: Reception and Telephone Procedures
    Focuses on front‑office operations, patient intake, office safety, emergency preparedness, and telephone policies and techniques.
    Module 4: Appointment Scheduling and Filing Systems
    Explores scheduling methods, appointment management, paper and electronic filing systems, and records retention.
    Module 5: Medical, Drug, and Prescription Records
    Addresses medical record systems, documentation standards, auditing records, drug laws, and prescription management.
    Module 6: Written and Electronic Communication
    Develops skills in business correspondence, medical transcription, electronic communication, and office mail management.
    Module 7: Banking and Revenue Cycle Management
    Introduces patient billing, insurance payments, banking procedures, credit and collection laws, and financial transactions.
    Module 8: Bookkeeping and Medical Coding

    Module 10: Financial Management and Career Preparation
    Focuses on practice financial management, payroll, productivity analysis, computerized systems, and employment readiness.
    By the end of the program, the learner will be able to:
