Upon completion of the program, the learner will be able to:
Collect and handle blood specimens safely using proper order of draw and universal precautions
Perform venipuncture and laboratory support procedures accurately and safely
Obtain, record, and monitor vital signs and patient data in urgent situations
Assist with medication administration, minor procedures, and emergency diagnostics
Prepare patients for examinations, treatments, and rapid diagnostic testing
Apply correct techniques for EKG setup, 12‑lead placement, and equipment operation
Demonstrate knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and disease processes
Apply HIPAA standards, ethical principles, and legal requirements in emergency care settings
Upon successful completion of this program, learners will be eligible to sit for the NHA national certification exam to become a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA).
