    By completing the program, learners will be able to:

    Perform clinical medical assisting duties in both adult and pediatric settings
    Collect laboratory specimens and perform phlebotomy using proper techniques
    Safely administer medications and assist with minor medical procedures
    Record vital signs, blood pressure, and patient care data accurately
    Prepare patients for examinations, treatments, and diagnostic testing
    Perform and support electrocardiograms (12‑lead EKGs)
    Apply universal precautions, HIPAA regulations, and patient confidentiality standards
    Communicate professionally with patients, families, and healthcare teams
    Upon successful completion of this program, learners will be eligible to sit for the NHA national certification exam to become a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA).
